Gamers Grove is kicking off the new year with updated store hours, updated social media presence, and by continuing our consistently competitive prices for all your hobby needs. In this blog post, we detail what all we have to offer in 2024.
What We Do
Gamers Grove is a tabletop gaming and hobby store. We sell product and hold events for games like Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Disney Lorcana, and more! We’ve spent over a decade building a community in Huntsville, Texas dedicated to being inclusive and fun while offering a variety of player rewards programs and competitive pricing.
Our Play Area & Board Game Library
Gamers Grove boasts a large play space complete with 9 board gaming/card gaming tables, 3 full-sized dedicated Warhammer tables, and 2 Dungeons and Dragons tables that fit parties of 6-8 players. Our play area is FREE! You can show up, play with your friends, and enjoy your time at Gamers Grove without paying a fee.
If you’re into board gaming, we have an expansive catalogue of games that you can borrow and play in-store! We’ve found it’s a great way to try-before-you-buy and facilitates our Wednesday board game nights quite well. Once again, this is all free! There is no charge for hanging out and if you’re reading this… you’re invited to join!
Trading Card Games
Gamers Grove is home to large communities for MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokémon. With events firing throughout the week, players of these games always have something to do. Be sure to check out our generous pack deals for MTG and Pokémon next time you come in!
Wargaming
There’s a thriving and lively group of wargamers in Huntsville, Texas! We offer three full sized tables for wargaming and a robust collection of terrain and objective markers for 40k, AoS, Kill Team, Warcry, Star Wars Legions, and more!
All of our Games Workshop products are 10-15% discounted from what you’ll find on their official store. Additionally, we can special order anything they have in stock at a 10% discount for you!
Player Rewards Programs
At Gamers Grove we know our doors couldn’t stay open without our dedicated player base. With that in mind, we like to try and give back a little bit in the form of our player reward programs:

Grove Goodies: Every dollar you spend at Gamers Grove you also earn an Acorn! Acorns are essentially rewards points and can be redeemed in various amounts for store credit and/or discounts.

Magic Loyalty Program: For every Magic: The Gathering event on our calendar that you show up to, we’ll stamp your loyalty card. As you progress through the loyalty card, you’ll earn promotional MTG cards and even promo card packs! Just stop by the front counter to get your stamps (or your card if you don’t have one yet).

Warhammer Battle-Ready Rewards: In our upcoming Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Leagues, we refund $5 onto your store credit every time (up to 2 times) you and your opponent both show up with fully painted armies! Entry is only $10 so you can get your whole entry fee refunded in just two rounds so long as everything is painted.
Storefront & Community Resources
Beginning January 1st, Gamers Grove will have new hours of operation! We’ll be opening our doors at 12pm Tues-Sat instead of 1pm. We hope this extra hour allows our friends who work evenings or have a long lunch break to stop in and get their hobby fix before heading to work.
Additionally, our Discord server is abuzz with communal chatter and serves as a sort of digital storefront alongside our website. If you have any questions, concerns, recommendations, all Gamers Grove staff members are available on that Discord server! This server also enables the community to schedule their D&D sessions, coordinate Warhammer games, and decide what games to bring to our Wednesday board game nights.
